Digital Literacy and Identity
My name is Sekar Ayu Anidita from class XI-7. This writing is a form of completing Ms. Wiwin's assignment. Digital Literacy is the ability to navigate the digital world. Digital literacy is essential for anyone who is on the internet. It prevents us from getting misinformation and dirtying our digital footprint. Digital footprint is a history of what we have done on the internet. A good digital history does not contain hate and misinformation, instead, it contains privacy boundaries and being factual. Digital footprints are often used to judge a person's moral and reputation, such as in job interviews. Since the pandemic happened, naturally many people spend much more time on the internet. This phenomenon without enough digital literacy will be a negative impact on the user. Because of insufficient digital literacy, many people get misinformed and polluted by misguided views.
